LOBBY shelf
Founder — UX Design, Hardware, Software
Overview
Lobby Shelf started from a simple frustration: apartment residents have no reliable, affordable way to manage package deliveries. Existing solutions are expensive lockers or no system at all. I set out to build the most inexpensive and capable package management shelf for apartments — one I could design, build, and deploy myself.
I designed and assembled the physical shelf unit, integrating a Raspberry Pi as the hardware brain. LED lighting guides residents to the correct compartment, and the shelf communicates with a companion Flutter app I built from scratch. The entire system — hardware and software — connects seamlessly without requiring any external cloud service.
The project taught me the full product lifecycle: from identifying user pain, sketching hardware form factors, sourcing components, wiring electronics, writing embedded code, to shipping a production mobile app. It is currently in active development.
