School Event Apps
Two apps supporting school-wide events
Asahigaoka High School had long managed its largest events primarily on paper. Tournament brackets were posted on gym walls, and results were often relayed verbally, making it difficult to deliver current information across the school. We introduced two apps so students could check schedules and results on their own phones. More than 1,000 people used the apps concurrently at peak on event days.
HR対抗 manages the inter-homeroom tournament, providing live scores, schedules, and complete league and knockout brackets for every grade. KOKOSAI75 served as a guide to the six-day 75th-anniversary festival, covering color-team scores, stage programs, and every classroom activity with crowdsourced wait-time estimates.
As a student council member, I established app committees for both events and worked with the teams from planning and design through development and release. I focused especially on making result entry simple and reliable for student staff working under pressure. Because staff rotated throughout each event, I reduced the number of fields and simplified the sequence of screens so first-time users could enter information accurately and consistently.
